Dr. Norhayati binti Liaqat Ali Khan is a senior lecturer (teaching anatomy for undergraduate and postgraduate preclinical years dental students) at the Centre of preclinical sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a public university in Malaysia. She began her postsecondary education at a private college in Malaysia in 2001 with a diploma in medical laboratory technology. She later earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science (year 2004-2008), and a master's degree in medical science (2008-2012) from the University of Malaya, the oldest and highest-ranking Malaysian institution of higher education. In 2022 she completed her PhD from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Under the guidance and supervision of Professor Alireza Fazeli, she has become involved in EV research since the year 2018. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2022, her goal was to bring together all EV researchers in the country, increase awareness of EV research through disseminating EV knowledge, and promote greater EV research development di Malaysia. She was proudly introduced, to the president of the Malaysian Society for Extracellular Vesicles (MySEV), Ts Dr Norhayati binti Liaqat Ali Khan, with her sharing titled “Exploring the therapeutic potential of piper betel leaf derived EVs on oral cancer: Innovating oral health in Malaysia”.
