Business Afternoon with One Health

On January 28, 2025, the Business Afternoon with One Health event took place at Ülikooli Kohvik in Tartu. Hosted by the Estonian University of Life Sciences and OH-Boost, the gathering aimed to strengthen ties between researchers, industry, and stakeholders in advancing One Health applications.

The event featured insights from Prof. Alireza Fazeli on the progress of the Estonian Excellence Center of One Health and a keynote by Director Toomas Tiirats, emphasizing the need for robust industry collaboration to translate research into impactful solutions. Discussions highlighted strategies for engaging businesses, the importance of clear terms for collaboration, and raising public awareness about One Health.

Attendees agreed that starting with focused local applications, such as innovations in food and feed, would build a strong foundation for broader international cooperation. The event concluded with a call to action for enhanced partnerships and tangible outputs from One Health research.
