On May 14, 2025, Junior Researchers from EMÜ participated in an online mentoring session on Article Writing Mentoring, led by Prof. Fulvio Gandolfi from the University of Milan. The discussion centered around crafting strong scientific manuscripts, with Prof. Gandolfi highlighting the importance of presenting research as a compelling narrative built around a clear core message.
Participants explored the key elements of manuscript structure, the importance of a captivating title, and the necessity of acknowledging and explaining a study's limitations. Prof. Gandolfi also offered practical advice on navigating the peer review process, including how to respond to reviewer feedback with clarity and composure.
The session further touched on broader topics such as the role of networking and collaboration in academia, Prof. Gandolfi’s critical perspective on open access publishing, and a forward-looking discussion on the potential use of AI tools to enhance manuscript writing—particularly for refining language while maintaining accuracy.
We sincerely thank Prof. Fulvio Gandolfi for generously sharing his knowledge, experience, and thoughtful insights with the EMÜ research community.
