A member of the One Health Estonia team, Prof. Alireza Fazeli, in March 2026, participated in the CROSSPATHS matchmaking event held in Brussels.
The Horizon Europe “Crosspaths” project aims to bring together three leading institutions — the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Poland), Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), and Estonian University of Life Sciences — to advance research focused on safe, healthy, affordable, and eco-friendly food systems.
The event brought together researchers, innovators, and project experts for a full day of pitches, discussions, and targeted meetings focused on building strong European research collaborations. It provided valuable insights into how successful Horizon Europe consortia are formed in practice and how interdisciplinary ideas can be translated into impactful research initiatives.
Through his participation, Prof. Fazeli contributed to strengthening new connections and exploring future collaboration opportunities within the broader One Health context.
Events like this are essential for fostering international partnerships and advancing collaborative research at the intersection of health, environment, and sustainable food systems.
