The Estonian University of Life Sciences has launched the One Health Centre (OHC) — a new interdisciplinary research centre bringing together expertise in veterinary medicine, biotechnology, environmental and agricultural sciences. The centre represents a key next step in EMÜ's One Health journey and reflects the university's commitment to developing science-based solutions to today's most complex health challenges, including zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food security, and the health impacts of climate change.
The OHC is led by Professor Alireza Fazeli, ERA Chair of Comparative Medicine, and is a central part of EMÜ's development strategy to 2035 — supporting the university's ambition to become a leading institution in sustainable bioeconomy and health in the Baltic Sea region. The centre welcomes collaborations with researchers, universities, and partners working in the One Health space.
