On 23 January 2026, two PhD students from our research group, Deep Bhattacharya and Evgeniy Brik, participated in the annual PhD Students’ Conference at the C of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, an event dedicated to presenting ongoing doctoral research and fostering scientific discussion across disciplines.
Both researchers presented their latest findings related to extracellular vesicles and their biological and therapeutic significance.
Deep Bhattacharya delivered a presentation entitled “Life in transit: How extracellular vesicles shape biological outcomes”, focusing on the role of extracellular vesicles in modulating biological processes.
Evgeniy Brik presented “Exploring the therapeutic potential of milk and algae extracellular vesicles for enhanced skin health and wound healing”, highlighting innovative approaches to regenerative and therapeutic applications.
The conference encouraged active engagement and peer-to-peer exchange, with presentations followed by discussions and evaluated by fellow PhD candidates. As part of this process, outstanding contributions were recognised with awards.
We are proud to announce that Deep Bhattacharya was awarded 3rd place for his presentation, in recognition of the scientific quality and clarity of his research.
We also extend our congratulations to all other award recipients for their excellent presentations and achievements.
We congratulate both PhD students on their successful participation and valuable contributions to this inspiring scientific event.
