OH-Boost Team at Tartu Science Night!  

On Friday 14th March 2025, from 18:00 - 22:00, the third Tartu Science Night took place at Biomeedikum!

Researchers in the Institute of Biomedicine and Translational Medicine hosted demonstrations of their science - practical demonstrations and presentation/discussion, in Estonian and in English. There were various activities for all ages.

OH-boost team was represented as part of the Department of Microbiology demonstration “Sööbik ja Pisik” (“Karius and Bactus”). Participants saw different human pathogens under the microscopes, growing on Petri dishes, and got familiar with microbiota theory. In addition, children drew their hands and glued on them different animated microbes to understand the importance of hand washing.
