On November 13, 2024, the University of Milan hosted a two-part online webinar series as part of the OH-BOOST project’s "Best Practice Transfer" initiative. The sessions focused on leadership in research projects and effective communication of scientific findings, attracting 33 participants from the Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMU) and the University of Tartu (UT).
In the first session, Prof. Fulvio Gandolfi discussed strategies for managing European research projects, including resource coordination, risk management, and navigating grant applications. The second session, led by Prof. Tiziana A. Brevini, emphasized the importance of science communication, offering techniques for engaging the public, countering misinformation, and leveraging platforms like social media and press releases to reach broader audiences.
The event equipped participants with practical skills for enhancing research leadership and public engagement, fostering a stronger connection between science and society.
