Data Management and Research Integrity - Best Practice Transfer From the University of Milan

On July 26, 2024, we hosted speakers from University of Milan an insightful webinar on best practices in scientific data management and research integrity. 

The event, held featured two distinguished experts. Prof. Valentina Lodde presented on the critical topic of image integrity in scientific publications. She discussed best practices for acquiring, processing, and storing scientific images to ensure data accuracy and compliance with publication standards, highlighting the importance of maintaining image integrity throughout the research process.

Prof. Federica Franciosi contributed with a focus on the MIQE Guidelines for quantitative real-time PCR experiments. Her presentation covered the significance of these guidelines in enhancing the reproducibility of PCR experiments. Prof. Franciosi explained how adhering to MIQE standards can address common issues in PCR research, from planning and executing experiments to critically evaluating results, thereby improving the overall reliability and quality of scientific reporting.
